Job Description
- Generate employment opportunities for Varsity students by establishing and maintaining productive employer partnerships.
- Managing Placements and Achieving placement targets PAN India for trained candidates in various skills Create and manage multilayer placement opportunities at Local, State and National Level
- Help students identify employment options that match their career interests. Ensure each and every student trained gets fair amount of chances for employment.
- Help students create their resumes and cover letters, find internship or externship sites, and help apply for jobs in their fields, provide mock interviews to give students practice answering common questions and provide information about companies hiring in the area.
- Focus on Client Acquisition / Requirements Pooling, as par with the prevailing demand for the placements of the happening program from time to time.
- Focus on building strong relationships with employers, set up local partnerships with companies where students can do internships or externships or visit for job shadowing. They also recommend students to these employers after they learn what skills companies prefer from candidates.
- To conduct pre-placement sessions for expectation management of the candidates (At least once in a month)
- Aggressively contact businesses and industries in the Corporate and College’s service area to develop partnerships and placements.
- Planning campus hiring events like job fairs to give students exposure to potential jobs and helps local companies find suitable candidates.
- Placement officers use their knowledge of job trends and the employer network they have built to bring a variety of employers to the Varsity for a successful event.
- Monthly identification of Placement Load and Skill Set Mapping
- Requirement/Lead generation to meet Monthly Targets
- Focusing on Visibility of Cranes Varsity among Corporates.
- Coordinating with employers, run background checks on students who seek internships or externships to verify students have the prerequisite education and meet all additional requirements for these companies’ positions.
- Manage and maintain current corporate partners, safeguarding relationships, ensuring highest level of customer service and delivery of benefits and work to maximize and increase levels of support.
- Establishing and managing corporate tie-ups by acting as the face of the organization
- Focusing overall placement and understanding the company’s and client’s requirement, sourcing them the right profile. Monitoring Corporate Strategy/Relations team to create and maintain a corporate strategy.
- Identify the number and types of positions needed by employers and secure experiential opportunities with employers. Contact business and industry to develop reciprocally beneficial partnerships for jobs, internships and job shadowing opportunities.
- Conduct research to learn the skills, abilities, and credentials employers seek for graduates of the Varsity’s departments. They use the university’s degree plans and course descriptions, in addition to coordinating with professors and department heads, to find relevant job titles and industries for graduates.
- Develop an active on-campus business and industry presence.
- Create and maintaining employer database(s). Maintain student files as needed. Submit monthly report. Provide targeted career information and resources for specific majors and interest groups to students, alumni, faculty, and staff as needed.
- Participate in the planning of new experiential learning programs in all. Attend seminars and other training opportunities for professional development.
